NCISLA Classified Preview: “Blame It On Rio” (S7E5)

NCISLA S7E5 4

Title:  “Blame It On Rio”

Airing:  October 19th

Filming:  April 30th to May 8th. This episode was shot at the end of the sixth season. With Michael Weatherly’s commitment to the mothership, it makes perfect sense to have this episode produced during NCIS’s hiatus.

What CBS is telling us:  NCIS Special Agent DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) partners with the NCIS: Los Angeles team to search the city after his prisoner escapes custody on a flight from Singapore to Los Angeles, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Monday, Oct. 19.

What we think is happening:  East Coast Tony meets West Coast Office of Special Projects. Hilarity and hijinks ensue.

Be on the lookout:

GUEST CAST:

Michael Weatherly as Special Agent Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo
Weatherly’s Tony was not in Los Angeles with Gibbs and McGee when the two worked with the Office of Special Projects to break up a terrorist cell in the “Legend” episodes, instead working the case from the Navy Yard. Weatherly was quite the busy man last TV season, appearing in all episodes of NCIS, showing up as a plague expert on NCIS: New Orleans and filming this episode in May.

Bobby Lee as Rio Syamsundin
Lee is a comedy actor/writer who worked on MadTV, played a vet in the quickly canceled Animal Practice and voices the Tim/Sumo on The Awesomes.

As with most guest stars, Lee had his photo taken with LL Cool J:

Danielle Bisutti as Sarah Taylor
Was Secret Service Special Agent Ashley Winter on NCIS’s “You Better Watch Out” Season 10 Christmas episode and guest starred in a number of series including CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds, Leverage, Castle, Rizzoli & Isles, Beauty & The Beast, Bones, Raising the Bar, Without a Trace and Charmed.

As with most guest stars, Bisutti had her photo taken with LL Cool J:

Al Coronel as Homeland Security Officer
Played the same role in “Kolchek, A”.

Samantha Cutaran as Flight Attendant
Karine on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and guest roles on Criminal Minds, House, Major Crimes, Intelligence, Castle and Rizzoli & Isles.

Victor Chi as Prisoner/Mr. Hung

Preview:

Sneak Peek #1:

I would think Tony would recognize the yellow tracksuit from Game of Death and not just Kill Bill Vol. 1.

Sneak Peek #2:

Looks like yellow isn’t Deeks’s only color statement in this episode. Could the green-eyed monster be riding with Kensi, Deeks and Tony?

The program is preempted next week for the Supergirl premiere (saw it at the Paley Center – a lot of fun and a perfect mix with the action/adventure/fun delivered most weeks by Scorpion and NCIS: Los Angeles).  So we’ll be back in early November (how did that happen) with the first sweep episode of season seven.

  3. Thanks for this preview!
I am really excited to see Deeks and Dinozzo together and I hope their interactions will be fun and interesting to watch. I also like a grain of jealousy on Deeks’s side, even if Kensi has proved him recently he has nothing to fear.
