Review: NCISLA “767” (S8E19)

After a challenging season filled with Kensi’s recovery storyline, a convoluted complex mole hunt, and the loss of Miguel Ferrer, writer Kyle Harimoto and director Benny Boom took us back to NCIS: Los Angeles basics with this week’s episode, “767.”

An Exciting Case (and a Classic Boom)

With a director named Boom, how could the episode not start by blowing someone up? That parking lot in Long Beach where the motor home explodes looked awfully familiar. I think they’ve blown something else up there, I just can’t recall the episode. And it’s far from the only motor home they’ve destroyed, either through explosives or crashes. Kensi and Deeks in “Getaway” just might be the only two people who’ve ever survived their scenes on such a set. Still, I never tire of seeing things go boom.

I enjoyed all of Sam and Callen’s scenes on the plane. The comedy over the first class/coach situation garnered many a laugh. And the action was all very well directed. It can’t be easy to frame scenes and move the camera around in such confined spaces. And while the whole thing was really just another Die Hard/”Spiral” scenario (not to mention Air Force One), I enjoyed the maneuvering Sam and Callen had to do to stay alive and solve the case. It may not have made perfect sense, but nothing was predictable. The guest actors, particularly the flight attendant played by Sara Fletcher, and the air marshals played by David Fumero and Nicole Pettis, were all strong. I particularly appreciated the time taken for the final scene on board where Sam and Callen reassure said flight attendant and give and receive respect from the wise captain.

Sexy (and Sweet) Densi

But really, I don’t think any of you are here to talk about fight choreography this week. I’m guessing you’d all rather discuss a certain bedroom scene between Deeks and Kensi, yes? It was all I could do to refrain from discussing it in my Paleyfest summary. I so wanted to say something encouraging about the episode but I didn’t want you all to jump to the conclusion that there would be a proposal.

Sometimes the writers make choices that feel like they just have to be paying attention to social media, and this was just such a scene. I loved everything about it. And I might have watched it more than once. Or more than a few times. But it’s my job to analyze all things Deeks and Densi, right? I’m just doing it for you, good readers!

First let me start with the most shallow comment of this review- yay for no more striped tank tops! The scene is quite sexy, with Kensi climbing on top of shirtless Deeks with one thing on her mind. I’m pretty sure at the screening last week my jaw dropped open and stayed that way through the whole scene. And what a shame that the Top 3 Densi Kisses had to run Sunday morning, for this would surely be a contender. It may also merit a revision to the Top 3 Sexiest Scenes. For the record, I’m happy to continue updating these lists if the showrunners want to keep giving us new candidates!

But it isn’t just the sexytimes quality that made it a winner. Even more significant to me are the insights about Kensi’s recovery. That they hadn’t been intimate yet, and that she’s been having trouble sleeping all this time, really gives us a window into her emotional well-being that we hadn’t been privy to. It was easy to assume that they’d been having sex more or less since she came home and that by now she is certainly back to full Wonder Woman status in all ways. It also provides a definite reason why Deeks might have put off proposal #4 for so long; he probably senses that Kensi doesn’t want it until she is completely back to her full self.

Scott Gemmill had mentioned something earlier this year about how Kensi’s recovery would span the length of the season. Showing her continuing struggles to get back to full strength and revealing her vulnerabilities, as this scene does, helps us understand her better. This show so often leaves things unsaid and unseen, and it’s always so much more emotional and involving when it lets us in on the what’s really going on with our favorite characters.

Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah were both perfect here; the expressions on their faces speak volumes. At first Deeks is happy to be woken by Kensi stroking his back, but then he’s immediately troubled as he realizes it means she wasn’t sleeping. And Kensi thoughtfully watches him, waiting for him to wake up so she can share her happiness at feeling so good. Deeks is happy for her, and immediately moves to make her even happier by feeding her so they can go paddle boarding together. It’s a nice tieback to Deeks’ talk with Sam in “Kulinda” about how Kensi didn’t want to do any of their usual activities with him, and showed how far Kensi and Densi have come.

And then there’s this wonderful side of a fully recovered Kensi who shares not just her happiness with Deeks, but her gratitude for all his love and support. This is the second recent occasion where we see a Kensi showing appreciation and affection for Deeks. We had the “I have you, that’s all I care about” line from “Queen Pin,” and here we get her expressing gratitude for all of Deeks’ support.

Kensi: I just wanted to say thank you.
Deeks: Thank you for what?
Kensi: For everything.
Deeks: You were the strong one. I was just along for the ride.

Also very sweet is Deeks’ keeping his hands completely to himself until he confirms that Kensi really feels ready to continue what she’s starting. Once he gets the green light, he doesn’t hesitate. Of course, the sexytimes aren’t allowed to continue, but the interruption is successfully played for a lot of humor. Deeks’ requests for “four minutes” and “two and a half” were followed by roars of laughter from the Paleyfest crowd.

We also have two very good Densi investigative scenes, first a very funny scene where Densi interact with the public relations VP (played by Ally Maki), which feels like very vintage Densi mixed with a relatively new sureness about their relationship. How many past scenes have we had where Kensi expresses jealousy when another woman shows interest in Deeks? Here, she just rolls with it and gets her job done. And the mirroring scene with Sam’s SEAL buddy Lincoln was also well done. I liked Lincon, played by Dylan Kenin, who has enough military seriousness to put Deeks back on his heels. And this time Kensi uses her feminine charms to earn his cooperation while Deeks just stands back and watches. It feels so good to see these two on the job together again!

Plus we get Deeks planning a semi-surprise get-together for Kensi and her friends to celebrate her recovery. He sure caves quickly here, spilling his plans to Kensi- I’m glad he’s better with on the spot lies when it comes to undercover (or covering up his involvement in possible murder)! I was a bit surprised at how little screen time the party got, given that it made the press release story summary. Perhaps it will come up again, or maybe there’s a deleted scene? While I’d love to meet Kat, Mindy, Mandy, Tiffany and Tiffani, I’m not sure we ever will (maybe at the wedding?). It does feel like everything is falling into place for Deeks to launch proposal #4. We just need to be patient. (I hear you already saying you’ve been patient for years! Just a little longer- I have faith in R. Scott Gemmill.)

On the other hand, let me be Debbie Downer for a moment and point out how painful it is to have Deeks’ confession to Detective Whiting just hanging over all his interactions with Kensi. I assume that he hasn’t told her, although with this show we can never be too sure. As happy as I will be to get that proposal, I’d actually prefer to have Whiting’s investigation resolved before he pops the question so that it can happen without that particular specter of doom in the background. At the very least, I’d like Kensi to be fully updated before she goes all in with Deeks.

Words of Wisdom from the Operations Manager (and the Showrunner)

While of course I’d have liked to see the episode end with Densi picking up where they’d left off in the morning, I knew better than to actually expect that. Instead we get an interesting scene with Hetty, Callen and Sam. Maybe it’s just me, but Hetty these last few episodes seems a little lonely, needing to wait around to talk to her team because she no longer has Granger to share a drink with. Regardless, it certainly seems that she is summing up not just what her team has been through in the last year, but what this group of cast and crew have experienced as well.

Hetty: Oh, the past 12 months for our family here, it just plain sucked. There’s no better way to say that. Moments that I felt were the darkest, they were eclipsed by complete blackness. But today, days like today, what you did on the plane, what the rest of our team did on the ground? When our purpose is clear, these are the good days. We will write the pages of this year’s book together. Let’s make it one hell of a story… And to hell with last year.

What’s great about this toast, which I see as a message straight from Mr. Gemmill, is that he is raring to go for Season 9, to tell the story he wants to tell. I can’t wait to see what he does with the opportunity.

Memorable Moments

  • In the opening explosion, that was a very quick but cool shot of the car’s window shattering from the blast. I love how they’re able to place cameras in so many interesting locations to capture the action.
  • I guess CBS isn’t too anxious to bring Samsung on as a sponsor, what with Eric’s joke about someone bringing a Samsung phone on board the plane.
  • Good job Competent Deeks noticing the motorcycle surveillance camera (I am unfamiliar with such things). And I think “Darlin” is my very favorite nickname he uses for Kensi. There’s just something so sweet and old-fashioned about it.
  • It seemed like a stroke of very good luck that with all that shooting in the cargo hold, no one put any holes in any key pieces of the plane. And those popping noises were cargo shifting during turbulence? I don’t think I’d have bought that one if I’d been one of those passengers. On the other hand, nice detail about the Taiwanese baggage handler paid to stash the guns the bad guys used on board. It was a small plot point that could have been left unaddressed, but I appreciated the attention to detail.
  • Plus we got another opportunity for Deeks/ECO to show off just a tiny piece of his Japanese.

For all you Densi lovers desperately awaiting a proposal, I say hang in there! In the meantime, what did you think of “767”? Was it all you wanted (other than that proposal of course)? Come back later this week for Deeks’ Surf Log and Kensi’s Journal, plus the Drabble of the Week.

Finally, let me say a belated Thank You to my fellow wikiDeeks contributors Brenda and Jericho for covering for me the last few weeks. If you missed their fabulous reviews, it’s not too late to check them out!

  1. Fantastic review! This is one of the tops of the season for me. It felt like they were really investigating again, together again on the same threat and not scattered. More please. I already did amend my top 3 kisses to include this one. 🙂

And you’re right about Hetty’s toast. Much needed; much appreciated.

  3. Another great review Karen. Thank you very much. I loved this episode and I also loved the previous one (didn’t have time to post my opinion on it, but after I had read so many comments I was genuinely depressed, so I didn’t even bother in the end!). I truly appreciate Kensi and Deeks back together in the filed, their natural easiness around each other, banter and gentleness that I missed in the first 10 or so episodes. But all in all I like the whole season so far. Deeks and Kensi are strong. They have been strong all the time, even when Kensi was really in the bad place and we didn’t see that. But that’s what I see in almost every word that Kensi is saying to Deeks now (that she was not able to communicate or show him earlier).
I know that I am in minority here, but I am actually not disappointed that they are not engaged yet and do not find an episode not showing the proposal bad. I am happy when I see Densi happy, when I see the team is strong and care for one another, when I see good case with right parts of action and drama. I agree that Deeks’ confession to Whiting is like a rainy cloud above Densi and I hope it will be resolved before the end of this season and I hope this is not only wishful thinking.

  4. Stellar review! Welcome back!

This episode is easily my favorite of the season. It had all the elements of past seasons/shows that made this my favorite series to begin with. It was so refreshing. I really feel as if they have hit the reset button. I agree with you about Hetty’s toast being straight from RSG. It gives me hope that the rest of this season, and next, will leave us all feeling satisfied after each episode.

  5. Welcome back, Karen. Loved your review, especially pointing out the details the writers were kind enough to include. I found this a very satisfying episode. No complaints…thankfully…just total satisfaction. I cannot tell you how happy I was that we got a bedroom scene without that horribly ugly striped tank top. I’ll take a half naked Deeks anytime. They were beautiful together. Loving…gentle…kind…easygoing…comfortable…and sexy as hell. Although they were interrupted and I wanted that scene to go on a little longer, I was grateful for what we did get. It solidified that they are definitely all in and loving it. My heart rate was up by the end, but it eased, the racing replaced by a very wide grin when Deeks asked for four minutes and then was willing to accept two and a half. Sweet and funny.

The whole episode left me hopeful for what is to come and especially for the new season. I am starting to really love Scott Gemmill.

  6. Reviews are always amazing on this site, thank you Karen, Brenda and Jericho.
I agree, I loved this episode, I can’t remember when was the last time I enjoyed a new NCIS LA episode this much. There has been amazing scenes, but this time the whole episode was very entertaining. Loved Densi scenes, loved the action, loved the banter, loved Sam and Callen, loved the team working together on one case ((no “extra” team members and just one case left enough time to focus on this case) and I was really entertained for the whole episode. I didn’t feel disappointed/frustrated/confused/bored or anything like that, no need to fast forward any scenes, this episode had everything that I love about NCIS LA.

There were small things that maybe could have been even better (for example I didn’t quite get all technical details related to the case and I might have missed something when it comes to Callen and chicken and I kind of expected them to address that Neric scene from previous episode) , but none of those things really mattered, I really did like this episode. I would love to see Kensi’s friends in one of the episodes 🙂

  7. I laughed at myself when my initial reaction to this episode wasn’t that “I” liked it, but that I knew “Wikideeks” would like it. Just good, solid NCIS:LA!! I actually missed the first 5 minutes and didn’t even know about “the” scene until Monday and I liked it anyway. Then I re-watched to catch the beginning explosion and got my wonderful surprise. Way to go Kyle! I agree the final toast was interesting – hope for much more of this in the near and next season future! So glad to hear about season 9 (as long as there is no Anna – please)! Good to have you back Karen. Hope someone posts a decent Paleyfest video – the one on YouTube so far isn’t worth trying to watching.

  8. Thanks Karen for your review, I’m glad you are back (but Brenda and Jericho did a terrific job with their past weeks’ reviews and I think they are welcome anytime).

I enjoyed reading what you wrote because your feelings are similar to mine.
This was a very good episode, I don’t know why, but I already had great expectations from it just from the press release and promo and it didn’t disappoint at all, it seemed an episode from earlier seasons when there was a case to investigate and at the same time one or more remarkable moments between some of the team members.

And finally we got Densi back… This are the Deeks and Kensi I fell in love with: funny, smart, bantering, competent, sexy, caring, perfect partners in the field together, often in sync, but especially in love with each other.

The opening scene was perfection, not just because Deeks and Kensi live together, are planning a future together and are so in love with each other (and are so beautiful together!) that after 8 seasons it would be unrealistic not to show them in a moment like that, but because the scene had everything you would wish for from this kind of “scenario”, a lot of different nuances that made the moment really count: both Deeks and Kensi were very natural, they woke up together, the scene flowed wonderfully addressing also Kensi’s recovery and tough moments she had been through (like problems sleeping she may have had) and then showing how much Deeks cares for Kensi (he wants to know if she’s ready before going on any further, without forcing her to do anything she doesn’t want to) but also how much she has appreciated his presence and help during the past months. That “thanks for everything” came with some episodes’ delay, but better late than never, maybe it was so beautiful just because I had stopped waiting for it… And then the kisses, amazing and passionate kisses like a cherry on top.

I also like how the episode ended. I agree: that toast and Hetty’s words were more than just a way to end an episode, they sounded very promising for the future of NCIS:LA and Season 9, which now we know is officially confirmed!

  9. *sigh* it was just amazing. everything that i love about this series in an episode.
I absolutely loved how competent everyone was while the show still remained funny, and some of the guest stars had their moments to shine as well, it just seemed so cohesive and fun.

Densi in the field together was really lacking until these past few episodes, and it made a huge difference in my overall enjoyment of the season. I’m glad things are back to normal now.
(also need to mention, not to brag or anything, but watching this ep. at paleyfest on a massive screen with tons of fans was an unbelievable experience and made me love the ep even more. i feel as though i am watching a big screen motion picture even when i rewatch it now)

I hope one day we get to see Kensi with the Tiffanies and co

    • Putting this delicately … he’s referring to sexual performance for them before they leave. His. And only needing 4 minutes to complete it. And then amends it to just 2 1/2 minutes…. that would be all he needed to make it a quickie, so to speak. A super-quick quickie.

  12. I think this is what a lot of people have been waiting for.
It wasn’t a ground breaking keystone episode, but it didn’t need to be.
I think to call it a filler episode cheapens it to do so.
It was just what the show needed.
A good solid meat and potatos episode that it the core of what the show is about and what makes it so popular.
There was good action, a good solid case of the week, and a little bit of character building drama/ personal moments.
The case was a big over arching part of the story, everyone was involved. Lots of different aspects, but everyone was working toward the same result.
The team was with their normal partners doing their actual jobs, which was nice and greatly added to the flow. It just seemed smooth and comfortable.
Everyone was competent, acting normal, and in character, which was good to see for a change.

There was a little something for everybody, which we have come to expect…
    Very nice.

  19. Not planning on getting to critical, but I wanted to bring out a couple of things for discussion.

The surprise party came off a little weak, and I thought they could have done a better job…they never even let on that Deeks planned it for Kensi or got a thank you for it…
The promos led us to believe Deeks organized it, but that never came off in the actual show…

I was a little disappointed that they seemed to get a 3 for 1 deal on the Densi moment…
They tried to cover the …
Kensi thank you to Deeks for standing with her through all this
The recovery talk and residual effects of her trauma and capture
A romantic Densi moment that they owed us for a while…

    How about 3 separate scenes guys…cheapskates… really…
Don’t be stingy on the Densi dudes…

    • I agree with you Ed about the surprise party. It was important enough to show up in the episode description, yet it merited barely any discussion. It felt like maybe they had to delete a scene or two where that story would have been given more time.

  21. Was it just me or did anyone else notice the changes in Kensi’s emotions and facial expression throughout the scene?

To start, she seemed very reflective, solemn and subdued, like she was struggling emotionally.
She responded to Deeks’ unabashed enthusiasm with a smile and may have felt it was time to give him something positive back. She did take the initiative and have one of her world class smiles but the end…but was it genuine?
I just don’t know if she is out of the woods yet or not…
    Still, loved the moment…

    • The only thing I noticed to be a little “off” in the scene (just to be very picky though, because I honestly liked all of it lot) was that even if Kensi was the one who started it, in a very sweet but also sexy way, when they were interrupted by the phone (not very original twist, I agree) she didn’t seem very disappointed to stop what they were doing, as if in a certain sense she was more relieved than frustrated. Maybe she’s not completely ready as she says she is, or it was just DR’s reaction running away from ECO 🙂

      Like

      • Oh, I didn’t have that feeling (maybe I was gawking at Deeks chest so much that I haven’t noticed Kensi’s expression at all). Kidding, kidding…But seriously, that was kinda natural that Kensi would immediately jump out of bad and start preparing for work as it was completely natural that Deeks would complain about it (remember breakfast scene- I agree not original twist indeed). Also the moment Kensi turned her head and body to take the phone she definitely looked annoyed. Also I chose to believe that Kensi knows that Deeks would be able to persuade her to ignore the phone and stay with him if she doesn’t move promptly.

I agree with you Maria, I saw the scene the same way. Realistically if it was the first time in a long time, you would be annoyed you were interrupted, but you certainly would not want the pressure of we have to go work, so hurry up. I thought they played it as I would expect, Kensi was the rational one , Deeks was cute, unbelievably cute.

          • I agree with your comments about how the scene ended, about how one would expect and very cute.
…I was more interested about the initial look on Kensi’s face as the scene started.
she didn’t seem overjoyed initially, Deeks’ concern and enthusiasm seemed to pull her right out of it, she seemed genuinely happy and had that fantastic smile.

with her initial subdued facial expression, I just wondered if she was truly excited, or, after Deeks’ sweetness, she wanted to show her appreciation for his support. it seemed like she had something on her mind. I am just not sure it was originally jumping his bones…
            it worked out well though…

I am probably reading too much into it, the emotions just seemed to change somewhat.

Thanks Karen for a great review,I really cannot add very much to everyone’s comments. I can just add that this was a great episode. It was what NCIS LA does best. It was a good case, Sam partnered with Callen , good action and vintage Densi. Kensi partnered with Deeks bantering, solving crimes and having incredible on screen chemistry. I echo what Denship said above, watching this at Paleyfest on the big screen with tons of fans was wonderful. The opening Densi scene was unexpected and I think everyone around me just sort of watched in awe and appreciation of a lovely scene and a shirtless ECO.

Kensi can always get Deeks to spill whatever he is hiding from her it kinda spoiled the surprise, I like to meet them too. Your probably right and out Hetty missing Granger for their nightly drinks they were close. I thought it was OOC at the time. Just a thing to introduce tension in Densi relationship to start their first “fight.”

it seemed like a vehicle used to create the first fight.
I second the thought that it seemed a little OOC for Kensi…
she doesn’t really strike me as a “woo girl”…
friends with matching T shirts saying to eat cupcakes?
Kensi (and her friends) being obsessed with Love Actually…when titanic is more her speed.
Kensi (and friends) being obsessed with fantasy engagements…
not just out of character for Kensi…but down right unbelievable…

hanging on the couch drinking beer.
all dressed up and dancin’ and drinkin'( till somebody got too flirty)
        Mohitos at the Apex
Kensi is a lot of things…
but someone that hangs around a bunch of people that wear matching shirts saying keep calm and eat cupcakes is not it… not even on a bet…

we might see them at the wedding, but I don’t really care too much either way

to be honest, my biggest disappointment of the delayed wedding, is that Granger, being a good friend of her dad, is not around to walk her down the isle. it would have been so emotional to have her ask him to give her away as one of the few remaining people that new her dad.
The moment she ask him as well as the actual event both would have been heart wrenching.

I can’t imagine that they pre-shot something like that and had Granger would return to do walk her down the isle and then stand silently to watch…

I am very sad that I will never see it.

    • I’m thinking the multiple Kensi’s was an ad-lib by ECO. thanks for reminding me about that part of the scene…I was distracted by his lack of clothing.

  28. Another great review; I also thought after watching “who gets to write THIS review?” Lucky! I also loved the EP; the show at its best. All partners together again; everyone doing their thing. Love Sam & Callen’s banter; I of course loved Deeks & Kensi’s banter even better. The EP was just top notch; action, humor, romance, drama you name it, the EP had it. I also liked Lincoln; what a character! I also would like to comment about the guest actresses who all did a great job. Professional, strong women and dressed properly for work! I loved that one of the Marshal’s on the plane was a black woman; very professional. Just as the Secret Service agent that worked with Sam. What I’m trying to point out is please TPTB please if Anna is going to be on (hopefully not often) please dress her appropriately. Really working the “girls” hanging out representing a Federal Agency; that really annoys me. Callen mentioned her; let’s keep it that way. Let Callen have his love or whatever but keep her at a distance; the acting is just so bad; I just can’t even…….
Also not trying to be overly negative; but really it took this long to inform the viewers Kensi’s state. The annoying part is that TPTB, ECO & Dani all talked about this emotional journey but we never see it on screen so how are we to know? All it took was a 2 minutes of a great scene to bring us up to date concerning Kensi’s condition — thank you and finally!
Here’s to waiting two weeks for another episode — Cheers — NOT 😦 !!

  29. an interesting note.
Several others have noticed….(not me because i was to entranced and excited that we actually got the scene we have waited for)…YAY…
…that Kensi and Deeks seemed to have switched sides of the bed.
they slept on the other side when undercover in Neighborhood Watch, and the same with the first fight scene in Expiration Date. ( I know one of them might want to be closer to the door or potty in the new house) usually people have a preference.

I think we all need to pay very (VERY) close attention during the next 10 or 20 or bedroom scenes we get to check for consistency…watching repeatedly as needed, just to be sure…
it is just the right thing to do.

now, bring on those scenes so we can do our job,,,quality control is so important these days…

  30. Looking ahead, and very glad we will have a season 9 to look forward to…

we have heard there will be a cliffhanger and Kensi and Deeks lives will change.
(as well as Sam, right ?).
So, will it be Kailed escaping and going after Sam’s family again?…quite possible.
…A continuation of the mole issue? and who really was behind things…maybe…
with them shooting the first 2 season 9 episodes this year, it leads one to believe there are scenes involving not just the sets, but guest actors that they want to make sure are available, rather than trying to book them for 3 months from now. who could it be???

  31. What About Densi and the change affecting their lives???
    Any thoughts?
I would think a proposal is likely before the end of the season.
We hear that something may change
We are all suspicious…oh wait, that’s just me…sorry
    Whiting is still alive…hmmmm.
Oh, and looking at the filming calendar…(yep, I do that…)
ECO is off for the first 5 days of the 7 day schedule for filming the season 9 premier, hmmm again

That makes me wonder if he will be in jail to start the season.
I know I am overly suspicious and have trust issues when it comes to allowing Densi to be happy. So, maybe I am misreading it.
I joked a while ago that I thought that to end the season that Deeks would propose, Kensi would say yes and then Deeks would be promptly arrested by IA again. Is that becoming more likely?… Don’t like it at all…

Then again, maybe Eric doesn’t need much time to film his part…
Maybe all of Eric’s scenes are with just one person…like Dani…(for example)
And they are all in one location and set…like a bedroom, (just for example)
While they are celebrating the engagement somewhere alone…(for example)
    Hmmm
    I like that example…

    • Ah man, this Deeks going back to jail & the IA investigation is just getting old. And, let’s not forget even though Hetty proclaims “to hell with last year!” she gave Whiting new information so she would lock Deeks up. And, honestly I just don’t know what to think; so I’ll relax, remain calm & hopeful. I’m not a big fan of cliff hangers at all. I really enjoyed Talion; the team going tactical; doing what they do best; everyone involved; it was just great and we all got to enjoy a wonderful; stress free summer :-).

      • hang in there…I hope I am wrong…think happy thoughts…
and I completely agree, we have had a season full of drama and angst already…
I could use a stress free summer as well.
o want my biggest concern to be when I can pre-order the DVD box set and see the deleted scenes and commentary…Yay…

  32. I really want to see Deeks tell Kensi about what happened with Whiting before he proposes.
I would also like to see a talk about their pasts…what mistakes Kensi made while homeless and some of Deeks’s childhood.

    No more secrets…right.

A clean slate before getting married, right?

  33. Karen, Thank you for your excellent review and Brenda
and Jericho thank you for your equally excellent reviews
of “Queen Pin” and “Getaway”. I did not comment
on “Queen Pin” and “Getaway” because I seriously
wondered if I wanted to continue to watch the show and
panicked about some of the thought provoking points which
had been made here at WikiDeeks.
But after watching “767” I realised I could not stop watching
the show as this episode featured everything I love about
NCIS: Los Angeles and I could not leave the characters about
who I care so much: A truly memorable scene between Kensi
and Deeks (and I hope that there will be many more). Their old
magic and banter have been completely restored. And Daniela
and Eric were wonderful. A good and solid case of the week.
The equally magical chemistry between Callen and Sam. And
Cheryl and the Captain were very sympathetic.
Though I am with those who think that belonging to a group like Kat,
Mindy, Mandy, Tiffany and Tiffany is just out of character for Kensi.
As it seems to me that she has always followed her own path and
was not the person to belong to groups of friends.
Then, I am still a staunch ally of Ed and a member of the
    “I Hate Anna Foundation”.
But I am truly looking forward to “From Havana With Love”.
