Thanks for the first Deeks’ Surf Log entry of 2016.
I couldn’t agree more: Deeks won’t get the image of Kensi cradling that baby out of his mind easily. She was so sweet and instinctively protective that it was almost unbelievable. She seemed a real natural, apart from the first awkward hesitance when she was doubting she could make it.
Even if, like Deeks here in this entry, I “have always had faith Kensi could be a good mom” one day, to see some evidence that she is not afraid of kids anymore gives me hope she may want to have a family with Deeks in the future.
Great job. I especially loved the third paragraph when he started talking about mutant ninja assassins. For a moment I completely forgot I was reading Gayle’s words and 100% believed I was reading Marty Deeks’ real diary.
Great entry as usual. I love how you captured Deeks’s voice with the mutant ninja assassins, the wicked wit and the epic viking mane, heheheh Love that!
As I said to Karen, there is no greater compliment than being told you’ve captured a character’s “voice”. Thanks Reader1976 for your consistent comments! Welcome to 2016!
Loved the “babies for bullets” line – and the “trip down Therapy Lane” thought made me laugh. Nice job, as always. Thanks!
