Will we see follow-up from Densi’s Season 9 argument? Will you ever direct/produce/write an episode?
You asked and Eric Christian Olsen answered! Welcome to installment #3 of our exclusive wikiDeeks video series with Eric.
This week Eric addresses two(!) questions, both of which were asked in one form or another by multiple readers. First he reveals what we can expect in terms of follow-up from the big Season 9 argument between Deeks and Kensi. Thanks to Beth, Jess, Kim, and Kitty for asking this great question. Second we get an intriguing hint about whether Eric plans to direct, produce or write an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles. Thanks to Kim, Kim, Maria Luisa, and Sonja, plus wikiDeeks staff amusement345 (welcome!) and Tess for sending in this question.
Once again, many thanks go out to Eric for taking the time to answer our questions tonight, and to Daniela Ruah for her quick cameo. If you have a question you’ve been dying to ask Eric, leave it below in the comments and he just might answer. Next week looks like a big Deeks episode – is there anything you’d like to ask Eric in advance of it? What else have you always wondered about? #askECO
Enjoy…
I guess they will talk about it again, but Deeks isn’t as anxious/desperate and doubtful about their future anymore.

I think I’m right when Eco says he isn’t concerned about children or the years they will stay at NCIS, because Deeks loves Kensi so much that those things may or may not come about. Am I understanding him right?

That’s how I interpreted it too!

Wouldn’t it be nice if Kensi wasn’t concerned about career or self image because Kensi loves Deeks so much that those things may or may not come about.

Thank you for clearing up the argument question that so many fans were asking about. The answer to the second question, oh Eric you dirty little tease lol!

What a super thoughtful answer from Eric on our Densi question, and a very intriguing answer on the second question. I’m rooting for having him write an episode, I think that would be most interesting for fans. (But either way, it probably means a Deeks-lite episode.) Thanks Eric!!!

Is Eric writing or co-writing an episode? That’s what I would love to see soon! Good to know Eric ! Good to know !!!

“He just wants to be with her” and “I’d rather take two moments than a hundred with somebody else”.
Those were definitely my favorite sentences of the whole video.
I’m well aware we know Densi are getting married in one of the next episodes, but after the roller coaster of Season 9 finale and Season 10 premiere, followed by quite a subdued NCIS:LA summer hiatus with little or no information about who would be coming back in September and in which I only kept on hearing in my mind Deeks’ ominous words “I’m still your partner. At least one last time”, being reassured by ECO himself about Deeks’ feelings for Kensi was priceless.
Thanks, Eric, for making our Sundays better! Your collaboration with WikiDeeks is proving amazing.

It is a deflection/coping mechanism for them both. Look at how outrageously they’re behaving. ECO is right, he stared at death more so than with Sidorov and he decided two moments with Kensi is worth more than a hundred with someone else. But it will start to eat at him at some point. I think this is going to build to some kind of meltdown – his/hers/theirs. Gemmel is known for drama and this may be it right before the wedding. ECO said it will be addressed and this may be the process of building to that moment.

Kitty I really like your take on this and I would love to see it play out this way. Listening to Eric’s responses (especially from the first video and the interview), I’m not sure it sounds like they’ll go there, but to me it would be the story that would make the most sense and feel the most real.

I’m also disappointed in how Moseley is back and working and NOTHING was said. Especially no apology to Deeks for what she did to him. I am hoping that based on last scene watching Moseley seemingly getting ready to throw everyone under the bus to protect herself her take down is big and painful and I think Sam is going to get caught in it and that would not upset me at all. And sorry for my comment posting twice, it wasn’t THAT good to see twice.

Yes I think you’re right that they’re setting something up between Sam and Mosley. I wrote in my review that I REALLY hoped they weren’t trying to put them together. I like your theory that Sam is going to be more involved than the others in whatever might happen to (fingers crossed) take her down.

Re: Kensi and Deeks—I like that ECO has settled on a mindset for Deeks, so there will be consistency in how he plays whatever is written for the couple. He seems to have decided that Deeks will make one decision at a time, starting with: Kensi, or some imaginary ‘other’? Since no one knows what the future holds, it’s not necessarily a bad approach. Not that there aren’t countless divorce lawyers who’ve benefited from people taking a similar approach.
Re: writing/directing—I think ECO uses words beautifully and poignantly, and has a good sensibility about human behavior (as per his instagram posts). So I would be interested in whether he will ever use his command of the language to write something of any sort, not necessarily a script. I hope he does, one day.

I’d like to be surprised (& wrong), but I can’t see ECO finding the time to independently write a script, especially not with his new production company projects and two small children. Producing a ep, maybe? Directing, more plausible. Or maybe it’s just more trolling!

everytime he opens his mouth, I think he is more amazing ❤ I love these interviews

#AskECO and Did you read the Deeks’ Surf Logs and Kensi’s Journals here? I miss them so much! Would Eric and Daniela like to write their thoughts after each episode ? #AskDAni Would you like to contribute to wikideeks too and write Kensi’s Journal? Thank you so much Eric for being so generous with your fans and Wikideeks. Much love from France.

I know this is from a few seasons back, but what did “the box” symbolize? Kensi told the Hawaii 5-0 team that it was “something Deeks has always wanted” and then it was simply a box inside another box. I’d love to hear what the true intent for “the box” was.
