A Connection: Kensi’s Journal 3/20/22

Deeks is right, I do have a way with kids.  Older ones, that is.  Like Rosa.  And Astrid.  But chances are we’re probably going to end up with a much younger foster child, and those are the kids Deeks is great with (in addition to the older ones).  In all the years I’ve known him, he’s never failed to connect almost instantly with every kid he’s met.  Buying all those toys to make a child like him is a play out of my book, let’s be honest. Except that I was planning to wait until after we meet the kid, so we can get what we know he or she will really like.  We could (and really should) return all those toys and any child we take in will still be Deeks’ best friend within a day.  Except the stars…we’re definitely keeping the stars.
