I had to vote for Makar, the translator/conscience in Spoils of War, mostly because Deeks was so intense and unforgettable in those scenes. I think Makar was a great sounding board for Deeks as he went to a place in his soul that he never wanted to go to.
On a lighter note, I almost voted for Sam, especially in Zero Days, because I have really enjoyed the interaction between Deeks and Sam this season, and I hope we’ll see more of that in season 6. I also loved the scenes with Granger in War Cries, but in the end, it was the intensity of Spoils of War that won my vote.
At the end of The Frozen Lake, the Gurkha’s words to Deeks in the ambulance – Take your time. She will wait for you. I thought of those words many times this season! #hope
Sergeant Makar and Ehsan are my favorites but Makar vote,I apologize if it is not well written, did not speak English!!!But I love, I love Marty Deeks …Estoy loca por el jajaja
My vote is for Makar also. Loved the interaction between both characters! Out of all the other partners he has teamed up with, nobody had to deal with a war zone mission. Being in a country that you don’t speak the language, Deeks had to trust Makar even more as a translator. Wish we could have seen Kensi’s rescue as a two part episode. That way we could have seen more Deeks/Makar scenes but also more of Sam/Callen/Granger’s trek thru the desert.
My close second was Talia. She was a seasoned agent with another Agency and was very experienced with undercover work. Almost reminded me of Kensi but not quite. Would love to see her return again in a future episode, just like I would love to see Deeks work with Ava (Police Chief from Mexico) again. Both strong and experienced women.
While I’m late in voting, I had to go with the Gurka. He gave Deeks key advice in progressing with Kensi, which is invaluable. Otherwise, my vote would have gone to Nell. They are so very different it makes for fun and light-heartedness that’s been sadly missing this season.
