Someone infiltrated the boat shed AND the Mission?! Hetty was being targeted AND held at gunpoint?! It’s bad enough when one of the team, one of my family, is in danger, but for that to go down in our “house”…. I felt like Sam declaring, “Oh hell no!” I haven’t felt that tightly wound since Afghanistan. While we – or rather Hetty – took care of Mattias, the mole remains, which means we’re still compromised. Any sense of security we might have had is clearly in question now.
The only good thing was seeing Nell re-engaged with the rest of us. Guess the combo of Nate’s “shrinking” and knowing her mentor was in jeopardy was strong enough to overcome her own self-doubts. I know my time in the field with our spirited sprite solidified my confidence in her. However, we still don’t know the long-term plans Velma might have for herself. Might it strengthen her resolve in progressing toward field agent status or could she decide to remain safely stashed away with her real partner, surrounded by her most dangerous weapons – her mind and technology – up in Ops? Regardless of her physical location, our Nellosaurus is never one to be messed with!
On a lighter note, I’m feeling more confused than ever, not just with Kensi, but with myself! Man, was our banter set on “overload” today, but where are we really? I mean, kids, pregnancy, dancers, Superman, underwear, and… sausages?! Yikes. I’m surprised we haven’t been written up by human resources (or Granger!) for joint sexual harassment violations! (Although I do take some crazy joy out of Kensi volleying those blatant innuendos right back, as well as being proud and relieved the punches have almost completely disappeared!) The true issue isn’t “harassment” at all, but what is it? What are “we”? Oh yeah… partners.
