Thank You for Raising $3700 for Pets of the Homeless!

We are so proud to announce that wikiDeeks readers and staff have joined together to raise $3700 to support Pets of the Homeless! In fact, we’ve now raised $3738 for this wonderful charity and have nearly reached our goal of $4000. Your donations will provide emergency veterinary care to pets that would otherwise go uncared for. Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who has helped, whether it’s by financial contribution, food drop-off, targeted on-line shopping, or just by spreading the word. Together we have made a difference.

Congratulations and thanks go to wikiDeeks reader Stephanie AKA sassyzazzi, who won the latest drawing for a photo of that amazing Descent kiss autographed by Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah. Here’s what Stephanie had to say at hearing the news:

“I am so excited and honored to win this iconic picture of Deeks and Kensi kissing. I am also so pleased that  Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah are so kind and have taken the time to support this charity as well as show support for their fans. It is wonderful when you have a character you have grown to care about, like Marty Deeks, to find out that the actor who created him is a compassionate person.

“I had no idea that there was such an incredible organization as Pets of the Homeless until wikiDeeks started raising money for it. It is admirable that it provides pet food and veterinary care to pets that provide an anchor/protection for those who are homeless. It truly assists the homeless in providing for their companions and I am happy to provide a contribution to support those activities.”

Sharing the Good News

Thanks to everyone who donated. Once we reach our goal of $4000 (we’re so close!), we’ll mail a packet to Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah that includes all the personalized notes from those who donated to thank them for supplying all the autographed goodies that have supported our efforts.

We’re Not Done Yet

We will continue to support Pets of the Homeless. wikiDeeks still pledges to give $150 each time Monty or Homeless Deeks make an appearance on NCIS:LA. And it’s not too late for you to help! Even $10 can make a difference. Donate now and we’ll enter you into any future drawing for an autographed photo. You can do so in honor of Marty Deeks, Eric Christian Olsen, or Daniela Ruah (or even Monty, Dakota or Moose).
