NCISLA Classified Preview: “Defectors” (S7E9)

Title: “Defectors”

Airing: Monday, November 23rd.

Filming: September 15-September 22, 2015

What CBS is telling us: “Defectors” – The team searches for a missing teenage girl who is feared to have been recruited by a terrorist organization, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Monday, Nov. 23rd

What we think is happening: Delayed for a week, for most of the episode we are probably seeing the stuff CBS is telling us in their press release. Based on the promo, things turn unfortunate for Det. Deeks at the end. Really unfortunate.

Be on the lookout:

Nicole Steinwedel as Allison Nelson

Bridget Sullivan on The Unit, Olivia Chandler in the season 11 “Alibi” episode of NCIS and some guest star roles in both procedurals and comedies.

The weekly photo of the guest star and LL Cool J:

Rishi Arya as Vignesh Mehta

Ritchee in My Boring Life and supporting roles in several feature films.

Anne Griffin as Lady Friend

Kathleen on Masters of Sex, a guest star role on Without a Trace and a number of short films.

Adam Lieberman as LAPD Detective

Lieberman plays a lot of law enforcement and military types. Was FBI Agent Sanders in season one of Bones, Officer Murphy on Brooklyn South (another CBS Monday 10PM show) and customs officer in the first part of the NCIS “Hiatus” two-parter. Series guest star work includes Aquarius, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, CSI, Franklin & Bash, Hawaii Five-0, Blackout, Persons Unknown, Raising the Bar, The Mentalist, Without a Trace, Dexter, The Unit, The Closer, Medical Investigation, Desperate Housewives, Mr. Sterling, Robbery Homicide Division, Providence, The Whole Truth, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Philly, The X Files, Diagnosis Murder, The Huntress, NYPD Blue, Suddenly Susan and Murder One.

Garcia and his Low Rider’s low ride:

Jenna Seede as Adeela Yacoob

Teen actress who appeared in an episode of Rosewood.

Seede is happy to be on the Paramount set:

Jonathan Roumie as Perry Gaffney

Was Officer Gerard in NCIS’s “The Admiral’s Daughter”, Jonathan in the series In the Now and Jim Fellows on As the World Turns. Roumie appeared in episodes of The Newsroom, Dog with a Blog, Hart of Dixie, Castle, Parenthood and voiced a number of characters on MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch.

Insider Intel: Nothing up this week so far.

Official Photographic Evidence:

Unofficial Surveillance: There looks to be limited on-set photos from the cast because this was shot during premiere week and the cast members’ social media accounts were more about countdowns for the new season and not about this episode.

Video Surveillance:

CBS did a small edit to the original preview that aired after “An Unlocked Mind” two weeks ago – Hetty no longer mentions who is coming for “our children” while Kensi says “what?” when Deeks is arrested.

Sneak Peek

There do not seem to be any sneak peeks up. If anything is released late, I’ll update in the comments.

Despite the assumed cliffhanger, we’re off next week for a rerun of “Forest For The Trees” before what looks to be the payoff for the Internal Affairs investigation (in an appropriately titled episode “Internal Affairs”). Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  1. Thanks for this preview.
As the promo ominously suggests, more than the beginning of the case, I think I will be interested in the ending… And I can’t think we will have to wait for two weeks before seeing all the developments of Deeks’s arrest.

  2. Whey do we have to wait two weeks for the Internal Affairs investigation? I read that the Christmas episode was due on the December 14. Does anyone know if that is still happening??? Thanks

  3. Thanks Tess. Interesting that the rerun is Humbug which will nearly be the anniversary of Deeks & Kensi becoming an official couple. Don’t like the idea of waiting for the conclusion of Deeks arrest and finding out all the answers.. Looking forward to Deek’s mum returning to the show and her scenes with Kensi should be interesting.

    • I’m really looking forward to those scenes myself. We’ve heard all about 11-year old Deeks saving his mother, we don’t know much about their lives after that and the impact that had on the two of them.

  4. Thanks, Tess! Love that you have answers to questions raised!😄😄😄😄😄😄
