Based on this crazy day, I was astonished to discover Mercury is, in fact, not in retrograde.

Let’s start with the weather. Torrential downpour? I realize we need rain for all sorts of things, but there is a reason my temperate-intolerant body has always resided in what is supposed to be sunny Southern California! Do you know what that does to my glorious golden Viking mane? Let’s just said it isn’t pretty. On the flip-side, Kensi’s luscious locks… Wow. I had almost forgotten how beautiful her natural curls were (& yet another reason to love all kinds of “waves”)! That sight took me back to the day we first met roughly nine years ago. To know we’re now married blows me away.

Besides the weather, how do I explain the rest of the day (not including the decimation of my toothbrush)? Watching “Braveheart” right before bed last night must have planted a seed. Why on Earth was I working on a Scottish brogue today? I guess I’m trying to find just one foreign accent to expand my undercover game? (Yet, after all these years – & failures – perhaps I should find a different angle….) Everyone agrees all my attempts are utter rubbish!

Through all of this the “Densi Duo” was on point today! Rapidly and effortlessly working through criminal hypotheses and solutions! As if she isn’t just that way naturally, my beautiful bride was indeed “on fire” (in so, SO many ways)! Yet, she’s usually only like that when… oh yah, she did demolish a box of donuts in the car this morning. They “donut” call me the “Dashing Detective” for nothing!

I wondered about the Scottish brogue also, but as a distraction on the roof it certainly worked. And wow Kensi was “on fire”, There certainly was no stopping her during that episode. I guess Deeks will have to ‘man up’ and get another toothbrush. Thanks, Gayle for this Surf Log and wikiDeeks forever.

How I wish we would see Deeks undercover more often! I miss his unforgettable characters so much. If there’s a Season 11, I hope we won’t only get the elusive “Deeks, M.”, but also more undercover Deeks.
