Graphic Design Jedi Master of wikiDeeks. I enjoy travel and photography and. . . TV crime shows! I'm fanatical about hockey [Go Blues!] and in a perfect world I would live in Paris.
I loved how he came into the show it was perfect. I had watched an interview with ECO and he was originally suppose to make his first appearance in ‘the bank job’ but hadn’t read for the part due to conflicts.
It’s been great to see him grow and see him connect with the rest of the team as the series has progressed. It’s going to be a joy to see where he goes from here as well.
When NCIS LA was introduced, I gave the cross-over episode(s) Legend a chance and loved it but more for the NCIS group and not NCIS LA. See, back then NCIS was my all time favorite show! After a few more shows, I wasn’t impressed, lost interest and stopped watching.
When Season 2 started with Human Traffic, I gave the show a second chance and was immediately hooked! The reason was the introduction of Marty Deeks as a regular character. Soon, I went out and bought Season 1 DVD set and watched the two episodes with Deeks (S1 E19 & E20) and was blown away by the Hand to Hand episode. I especially loved how the writers had the viewing audience thinking that Deeks was a bad guy originally! I think I loved the jail scene where Hetty finally introduces Sam to Deeks as my favorite of the episode. Loved all three characters facial expressions! I loved the short but exciting MMA fight with Sam almost as much. After watching this episode, I could see how the Deeks character could actually contribute to the team going forward, especially as Kensi’s new partner.
Can’t wait for the next 4 years!
Like you, I was a very loyal NCIS viewer. I, too, tried watching the LA version when it was introduced, but found myself losing interest in the middle of the episodes. They just didn’t grab me enough to keep me glued to the screen. Then I caught part of a Season 2 episode and fell in love with ECO’s performance as Deeks. At that point I decided to go back to when the character was introduced and I’ve been hooked ever since… so much so that I now prefer NCISLA to NCIS.
oh yes with this ep i start watch ncis los angeles !i love our Mr.Deeks !this season was difficult for him i wish this change soon!
