I Fell a Little More in Love Today: Kensi’s Journal 4/23/23

I have to admit, Deeks had me fooled with all that yammering on about romance being a flower-murdering scam that we don’t need any more because we’re married. As surprised as I was to hear those words from his mouth, I believed him.  And all along he had those tickets to Gregory Alan Isakov that he was waiting to give me.  Deeks should thank me for giving him the perfect idea for how to present them to me, though.  Mentioning that we’ve been lacking in the romance department lately probably inspired my sweet husband to go all out with the flowers, super-cute date request, and the paper fortune teller.  I didn’t need all the lovely words that came after (as nice as they were to hear) because just knowing that Deeks had already recognized that we needed to spend more “us” time together and planned a special night out for us said it all.  He showed me how much I (and we) mean to him.  In spite of all that, what made me fall even more in love with my husband today was when he rattled off the top of his head exactly how many days we have until Rosa leaves for college.  No doubt about it, my man is the complete package.
