  1. I really enjoyed this. Gloriously funny, and yet so very sad at the same time. That for sure is Deeks to a T. Awesome job. Thanks!

  3. It’s annoying that Deeks’ birthday was not mentioned in this episode, but the day depicted in this episode was not January 8th in the timeline of the show. It was a weekday. Sam, Callen, Deeks, Nell and Eric were already at the mission when the case came in. Someone asked where Granger was and Nell said he wasn’t coming in today and they seemed surprised. If it was Sunday they wouldn’t expecting Granger to be there and they don’t normally work weekends unless they are already working a case and their investigations spill over into the weekend. They don’t go to the mission on a Sunday just in case there should happen to be a case come in. Also Anna asks Callen to go away “this weekend”. If it was Sunday in the timeline of the show wouldn’t she say “next weekend”? They could have at least thrown in something to acknowledgement it like asking if he had a good birthday yesterday if it was January 9 in the timeline of the show or ask what he had planned for his birthday if it was Friday January 7.
