NCISLA Preview: “Field of Fire” (S6E22)

FIELD OF FIRE 3 preview

“Field of Fire”

Airing: April 27th (a surprise change in the schedule)

Filming: March 26th to April 7th.

What CBS is telling us: “Field of Fire” – The team searches for a former Marine and expert sniper who escaped a veterans hospital when they discover his connection to the leader of an extremist group. Also, the case reminds Kensi of her past as a sniper, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Monday, April 27 (10:01-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

What we think is happening: Besides starting a minute after ten, previews have a sniper, possibly a former Marine, killing innocents and creating terror. Kensi is tasked with taking the shooter down with Granger ordering her to take the shot. Again.

Preview:

Granger ordering sniper Kensi to take the shot – we’ve done this before.

Sneak Peek #1:

Oh Owen, Deeks cleans up just fine. Good job by Granger, though, mentioning Kensi’s Afghanistan assignment. Just over a year ago, Kensi was sent into the field as a sniper with limited information and her ex-fiancé, also a former Marine, as a target. She almost completed her assignment with only a well-timed removal of his scarf saving Jack. Posing as a sniper and maybe even acting as one – again with a former Marine as a the target – could be an issue.

Sneak Peek #2:

While mentoring Deeks is a great idea – and if they need an actor for a flashback teenage Deeks, the boy in the photo is my choice – what does Deeks tell this young man about his life? I can’t tell you what I do it’s classified. This is my girlfriend but I can’t tell you her name because it’s classified. And her job – classified too. Or is he Dr. Deeks DDS again and Kensi his business partner.

More Deeks talk about kids….hmmmm.   Callen’s children being called “Lowercase G’s” is pretty darn funny.

Sneak peek #3:

http://tvline.com/2015/04/25/ncis-los-angeles-season-6-video-kensi-deeks/

TVLine posted a fun Kensi and Deeks scene (TVLine seems to be the destination for Kensi and Deeks sneak peeks) where Shawn Parikh’s Patel mistakes Deeks for a DJ (DJ Party Marty?) and Kensi as an entertainer.

We are definitely off next week after the false alarm rerun planned this week. CBS is airing a special honoring David Letterman as he finishes his long late night run. The program returns for the penultimate episode on the 11th and the finale on the 18th. I just started writing these previews and now we’re almost done.

  1. Hmmm…the subject of kids had been discussed in the previous three episodes, I don’t know. In the recent promo pics of episode 23, DR seems to have a “rounder tummy”, may be it’s the vest, but I can’t help but thinks that may be she’s pregnant in real life and it might be written into the show…it could be one of the revelations that Shane Brennan talked about.
