NCISLA Classified Preview: “Cancel Christmas” (S7E11)

NCISLA CANCEL CHRISTMAS 1

Title:  “Cancel Christmas”

Airing:  December 14, 2015 – the final new episode of the calendar year.

Filming:  October 15th to October 27th – Christmas in October.

What CBS is telling us:  “Cancel Christmas” – When a suspected North Korean spy is poisoned and hit by a truck carrying Christmas trees, the team must search for who is responsible for smuggling spies into the country. Also, Deeks and Kensi try to find a way to include their mothers in their Christmas plans, and Hetty notices that Granger isn’t feeling the holiday cheer, on NCIS: Los Angeles.

What we think is happening:  An article mentions that Sam wants to pick up Aiden at the airport and have a nice, quiet holiday with his family. Without Pamela Reed or Laura Harring in the guest cast, the holiday plans may include Deeks’s and Kensi’s moms but the episode does not.

Let’s talk about Granger’s holiday cheer for a second. The holidays have not been kind to the Assistant Director in recent years. Season 3– probably packing up his life and moving out to LA to investigate the daughter of an old team member for murders she may have committed based on his intel. Season 4– not with the team or in the office when they’re off on the Van Buren. Season 5– in Afghanistan. Season 6– recovering from being poisoned. He has some reasons to be all bah-humbuggy.

Be on the lookout:

If Marty Claus has to take you down, it is nothing but coal in someone’s stocking.

Sneak Peek #1:

Hopefully Callen got Sam boots as an emergency gift.

Sneak Peek #2 :

Is it me or does that seem to be Kensi and Deeks bizzaro conversation?  Wouldn’t it seem like Deeks would want some fellow jungle cat in the field while Kensi would be raising the skeptical eyebrow?

This is the final episode of 2015. My first preview was “Spiral”– 2015’s first episode and I’ve had a blast this year. Looking forward to a nice holiday hiatus (no rerun next week, “Rage” will air the Monday before New Year’s). Have a happy holiday hiatus, a Merry Christmas, a cool Yule, a festive Festivus and a great start to 2016.   Previews will resume with January 4th’s “Core Values” episode.

  2. This is awesome as usual😄 Love all the sneak peeks and bts. Sure hope G gets Joelle a backup present. And I see Aidan is appearing. That’s great, I’m a sucker for family reunions😄 This looks like a fun episode.

Thank you, Tess for graciously gathering and presenting each episode. I didn’t think that I could enjoy NCIS LA anymore than I do, but your previews make my experience even better. Thank you! Happy Holidays! 🎁 And Happy New Year! 🎉

  3. Thanks for your preview, the last of 2015. Time has really flown.

To be honest I am not very excited for this episode, I don’t know why, maybe because I can’t get Internal Affairs Deeks out of my head and I hope with all my heart that Santa Deeks of this episode can do the miracle of making me forget the other 🙂

    Happy Holidays!

    • The character becoming more complicated works for me – it would have been easy to have Deeks be as pure as the driven snow (holiday reference) but by keeping him a little dark, there are so many dramatic opportunities for the character.

Happy Holidays to you as well!
