Not My Country: Deeks’ Surf Log 10/17/21

This day started off so sad. Just more of the hate this country is stewing in because of the color of one man’s skin. What are they so afraid of? Whatever happen to ‘live and let live’?  We all deserve to live without fear and prosecution. Hate crimes have NO place in this country. I will never accept this because this is not the country I love. 

Speaking of love, did you know I’m married to the world’s oldest 5th grader?  Yes, that’s right. She beats me at everything, in the gym, at the beach but I’m always proud of my girl. Then she tells me she would love to raise a child of mix race despite all the obstacles. As long as we fill them with love and acceptance who couldn’t be proud of that?
