When is This Going to Stop? Deeks’ Surf Log 4/10/22

Who says I don’t like to take pictures??  I got some really sexy ones of my ladybird yeah, but that’s for my eyes only. Ha! 

To more serious topics, my mind is still spinning over what happened to Roundtree today. Not that I’m surprised that it happened to a colleague that I respect and who deserves more. I had my share of problems and had to deal with my share of dirty cops when I worked for my former employer. I wasn’t always the most by-the-book cop, I must admit but then I didn’t have to be harassed by racial profiling or racism. When is this going to stop?  I have no words of consolation for Roundtree because there are no excuses. None. 

I thought a lot about my dad today too. He hated all kinds of people especially anyone he could bully like me and my mom.  His kind of hatred is a cancer eating away at our society. I swore I would never walk in his shoes. That’s why we have to start with our kids. My kids. Your kids. Teach them love and equality. If my kids learn nothing else, then Kensi I will have done our jobs.
