NCISLA Classified Preview: “Live Free or Die Standing” (S13E19)

Title: Live Free or Die Standing

Airing: May 1st, 2022 (At the Usual Time, but don’t miss “Hard for the Money” right before!)

Filmed: March 10th – 18th, 2022

What CBS is telling us: The NCIS team works with DEA Agent Talia Del Campo (Mercedes Mason) to find a missing whistleblower set to testify against gun manufacturers marketing to drug cartels, on the second of back-to-back episodes of the CBS Original series NCIS: LOS ANGELES.

What we think is happening: The terrific Team In-Laws have created us an episode of much mystery! A lot has been kept under wraps. I know Talia is back (yay!), Beale leaves the team wonderful gifts (more yay!), and Gibbs from the DC NCIS team gets name-dropped, which hasn’t happened since Dinozzo appeared in season 7 (still even more YAY! – This gives me hope that maybe we ARE getting closer to a crossover in the future)! Could it be that Eric wanted to acknowledge Gibbs/Mark Harmon since even if we DO get a future crossover, it’d be not as likely to include a Local Boys* reunion?

*Screencap from the film Local Boys (2002), starring Eric Christian Olsen and Mark Harmon.
