Parents At Last! Deeks’ Surf Log 5/22/22

What can I say? We’re foster parents! I can’t believe it. Rosa is now part of a huge and loving extended family who welcomed her with open arms. I admit I had a few tears in my eyes when I saw our family waiting for us on the beach. They have been through this whole back-breaking process along with us and I’m so happy they were there to celebrate with us on this happy day. It was amazing. And to top it all off Callen proposed to Anna! It couldn’t have been a more perfect day.

After Rosa went to bed, Kensi and I poked our heads into her room and watched her sleeping in her new bed. We held our breath for fear of waking her, but we couldn’t have been prouder if we had been her actual biological parents. So much love in my heart for our sweet girl and my beautiful wife. I couldn’t ask for more. I am a lucky man. Jeez, I better put this journal away before I get the computer and desk all wet again.
