Drabble of the Week: Little Things
“I wasn’t really planning on getting married in a restaurant you know.”
“Well,” he lifted one shoulder, dropping it slowly. “We gotta have it somewhere.”
Wrapping her palm around the hot mug of chocolate and coffee before her, Kensi shrugged, taking in the surroundings of the small café. “I was still thinking the beach.”
“I like that plan.”
“Mmmhmm.”
“Sam however…” Eyes widening, he curled his lips. “Is not such a fan, apparently he and bare feet, sand, don’t really mix.”
“Well luckily Sam isn’t the one getting married.”
Snorting a laugh, he lifted his own French press mix, taking a long sip before meeting her gaze. “For a minute or two in that restaurant I wondered if I was.”
“I wouldn’t break up with you.”
“That’s reassuring.”
“I’d just kill you.”
Reaching across the table to clasp her hand, he pushed out a laugh. “I’d expect nothing less.”
Rolling her eyes and passing him a smile that was entirely genuine, she paused to nibble on the cheese danish resting before her, eyes leaving his. “We still need to plan this thing.”
“Hence my traveling venues.”
“Mmhm, still wanna elope?”
“Every day.”
Nodding almost absentmindedly, she smiled slightly. “Yeah I wouldn’t say no to it either.”
I loved it divergent. The two lovers always give me reason to laugh. Thanks.
