A Love Letter to Our Fans

About 12 years ago, I helped start up a new website called NCISLA Magazine.   I also helped design pseudo covers with a talented graphic artist, SweetLu (Lindy) for each character to promote the new site.  We had some fun teasing a bit of fanciful content articles but for the most part my interest was in writing about the scraggly blond hair, blue eyed detective and I wanted to write mainly feature articles totally around this mesmerizing character, LAPD Detective Marty A. Deeks.  The site is long gone but from it blossomed wikiDeeks.  At that time, I was fortunate enough to meet up with a group of fellow Deeks lovers at a fan convention for the show and we decided that enough was enough.  We wanted to focus on creating a site that was all Deeks, all the time.  In the past 10 plus years, I’ve had the pleasure to work with over 25 contributors to the site and we have created what I felt was the ultimate tribute to one of the best characters on TV in the last 14 years.  We knew that if we build the website…. the fans would come, and they did.  You did!  This love letter is to thank you for your dedication to the site and to celebrate Marty Deeks!

It’s been an incredible run and I wanted to thank all of you who have come every week after every episode to comment and like all our content.  We couldn’t have done it without you, and we wanted you to know that we always appreciated your support and loyalty.

Now here’s the good news.  We will be keeping wikiDeeks up and running!  Not only do we want to preserve all the great content we have created over the years, but we also want to support Eric Christian Olsen as he moves forward in his career as well.  Whether it is future acting assignments or work with his production company, Cloud Nine, we will continue to help promote him and all his future endeavors.  We hope to continue to attract new fans and keep all our dedicated fans as well.  And who knows, maybe we will hear from Mr. Deeks again in the future.  You never know!  We want to be front and center again if this should happen!  Our current fan fiction writers will also be dropping by to continue to contribute to the site too, so you won’t want to miss any future Deeks or Densi stories.

We hope that you will continue to come back to the site and follow us on Instagram to find out about future Deeks and Eric Christian Olsen projects that will be forth coming.  Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  The show may be over, but the memories will continue with all the work we have stored on the site.  We hope you keep dropping by and continue to enjoy the content.  It’s been a great 14 years and we will miss these wonderful characters and of course, the show…. especially Deeks.  #blessed.  Thank you.
