Kensi’s Journal – 04/27/15

April 27, 2015

What I wouldn’t give to be able to tell Granger off! He sends me out on sniper duty with another Marine as the target and then gets pissed when I don’t take the shot the second he ordered it! I understand that the guy was on drugs and being manipulated but Granger wasn’t there. He was standing safely in Ops with his hands in his pockets! His orders were to shoot to kill but I couldn’t. I saw myself in the eyes of his fifteen year old daughter and I didn’t want her to grow up without him. A dad with PTSD is still better than no dad.

Speaking of dads, Deeks is scaring the crap out of me! I was all for this mentoring thing and am very proud of him for wanting to help a kid out, but I had no idea he was seeing it as practice for fatherhood! Isn’t he rushing things a bit? I know I’m not ready and don’t see myself being ready anytime soon. I think we need to slow this train down a bit.

I was absolutely shocked to find out that Callen was considering having kids. In my mind, he’s always been about the job. I just assumed he would wind up like Hetty with no real family and certainly without a bunch of “lowercase g’s running around,” as Sam put it. Sam also seems to contradict himself every time he talks about his kids. “Having kids is the best thing that ever happened to me,” followed by, “having kids is the hardest thing you will ever do.” So which is it really?

  1. And how old are you, Kensi? He’s mentioned children several times and you’ve never talked about kids except to say “Not likely in our line of work”..? You guys need to talk, soon.

Awesome entry, sounds like our Kensi…appreciated the reference to the 15 yr old girl potentially growing up without a Father…well done!

It’s both, Kensi, but you will never fully understand from other people’s words so you have to try yourself!
