Bridget’s Pick: St. Lucia

There are many places Deeks could take Kensi for a romantic getaway so why not go to one of the top honeymoon destinations: St. Lucia? This small Caribbean island is the ideal spot for a beautiful, tropical vacation. Deeks and Kensi would be provided with plenty of time to lie around on the beautiful beaches but also tap into their adventurous side with excursions around the island for many other activities.

St. Lucia boasts wonderful temperatures year round so it’d be a great place for a spontaneous Deeks to surprise Kensi with any time of year. The beautiful beaches and lush rainforests on the island are highlighted by the island’s top landmark, the Grand Piton Mountains. The view doesn’t get much better than crisp clear ocean water in front of you and lush green mountains behind you.

But there’s plenty more for the couple to do than just enjoy the view! St. Lucia boasts “the world’s only drive-in volcano”, Soufriere (La Soufriere Volcano). The volcano is currently dormant and thus visitors are allowed to walk and drive in it while exploring. Deeks could easily rent a Jeep for an afternoon excursion to the volcano to explore the still active hot springs and even take a soak in the mud baths. I can’t think of a better way for the duo to unwind?

Finally after a day of exploration and relaxation in the hot springs and mud baths, they can take the Jeep into St. Lucia’s capital city of Castries and explore some more! With the wonderful Castries Market offering a local shopping experience with a bounty of fresh produce, Deeks could easily pick up some Caribbean spices and cook Kensi a romantic dinner.

All in all there’s a reason why St. Lucia is a top romantic destination. I would love to see Deeks take Kensi there and have the couple unwind together and just enjoy being with each other in such a beautiful place.
