I was as surprised as anyone when they told us Sam was arrested for murder. I tried to play devil’s advocate but Callen didn’t want to hear it. Hell, I knew Sam had to be innocent but I thought Callen was going to rip me a new one! You have to respect the man for supporting his partner. But I can’t get angry at the guy, I wouldn’t expect anything less.

I know Sam’s situation was serious but I can’t remember having this much fun out in the field with Kensi today. Did you see how she’s starting to succumb to the Deeks’ charm? A few years ago she would have had my head wrapped around a light pole if I ever tried to goose her with a vacuum attachment. Now she smiles and gives me that look of endearment. Well maybe not endearment…but you get the point. What can I say? She loves me…that’s my version and I’m sticking to it!

I let Kensi have her own fun at my expense later by throwing me into the cougar’s den. What she didn’t know was I recognized Heidi right away and knew if she remembered our last meeting my cover would have been blown. Luckily I didn’t have to play dumb for too long… Heidi was cool and helped us solve the case. I guess no good deed goes undone. But I’m going to have to talk to Ms. Blye about this cousin thing. More like kissing cousins if you ask me!

Oh, and she was too checking out my butt! I don’t care what anybody says! 😉
