Video Surveillance:

Preview:

I am expecting great stunts and a real feel in a fire from this episode.

Sneak Peek #1:

While it is played for laughs (and I love Kensi’s comforting but nonchalant way of dealing with Mercury in retrograde), there is an ominous feel to the conversation.

Sneak Peek #2:

Two weeks in a row with no second sneak peek.

See you all next week for the season finale preview!  My oh my this season flew by!

Thanks Tess for this preview, and thanks for putting together all those photos, there certainly were a lot of great pictures. I would be interested to know how Hanlon went from bring a NYC firefighter to a Director in LA. It does seem like the conversation between Deeks and Kensi is foreshadowing the finale. Wow, it is hard to believe we are one episode away from the finale, feels like the season just started.

    • Hanlon was a co-director on a documentary about a rookie firefighter in New York learning how to fight fires and work inside a firehouse. That documentary never happened because while filming with the firefighters on 9/11/01, they were checking out a gas leak in lower Manhattan and wound up making the “9/11” documentary instead. He and the Naudet brothers won Emmys for it. After he retired from the FDNY, he moved to LA, studied at UCLA and is now a director. While he was a firefighter, he was an actor in NYC, showing up on the all usual NY shows (the Law & Orders, Third Watch).

Hanlon isn’t the only former FDNY member working on TV – Hisham Tawfiq on The Blacklist and Steve Buscemi are both former firefighters.

Thank you so much for the information, I had no idea that Hanlon worked on the 9/11 documentary; that is very impressive.

  4. Wow! Plenty of material this time. It seems like a very promoted episode. I am really looking forward to Sam and Callen undercover as firefighters using their own names… Have they run out of cover names this year?

Amazing compilation. Thoroughly enjoyed. There is so much info and I’m amazed by your ability to ferret this all out. Your knowledge is amazing, Tess!
The conversation between Densi…sweet that Kensi is so calm and reassuring…but the foreshadowing…yikes.

    • The part of the Kensi-Deeks conversation that really caught my ear was that Deeks said his “Mom is fantastic.” It makes me think that Mother Deeks is herself is in a good place for the first time in a long time. That was an odd way for him to phrase the good things in his life.

This was fun to put together just because everyone had their cellphones out and taking pictures.

  6. Aargh you’re killing me…the sneak peeks aren’t available in the UK so I have about a hundred possible foreshadowing conversations in my head now!

    • My apologies, my international friend! The sneak peek has Deeks worried that he’s sick. Kensi says he’s fine but Deeks is troubled. Everything is going too well. He and Kensi are fantastic together; work is great, especially with the Internal Affairs investigation over; his mother is fantastic and even Monty is in great health. Deeks is waiting for some soul crushing happening to ruin everything. That’s never good – Deeks is the sunniest character most weeks and even he feels some impending sense of doom.
