I had to choose jogging in Personal. It was the first episode I watched after I started watching in Season three. It was a rerun and when he was running on screen? yum!
I liked “Personal” episode, Love watching it, It’s typical Deeks episode, but you get to see him thinking things out in his head plus his flirting. Also get to find out about his family!
Just when I thought I was the only one who loved Surfer Deeks… I’m pleasantly surprised to see that he’s in the lead! For me, Surfer Deeks is the best because of 1) the wetsuit, 2) it’s where he’s truly happy, and 3) the wetsuit.
I went with Jogging Deeks from Neighborhood Watch for the humor factor, but the similar scene in Personal was beautiful on a number of counts! And then there’s the long-standing push-up joke…. How do you choose just one?!
My choice is Surfer Deeks but only by a very slight margin over MMA Fighting Deeks. Both represent some of my favorite aspects of the character Marty Deeks. Surfer Deeks represents more of the spiritual side and how he deals with his demons outside of work. MMA Fighter Deeks covers the physical side and shows how he has had to live to survive life so far. Ever since hearing he was a surfer in S1 Fame, I had been hoping for the writers to show him in action either in a plot story or in a filler scene. Finally in S4 Skin Deep we get to see that. MMA Fighter in S1 Hand to Hand showed how he had to battle people who may be bigger (his father) or stronger (Sam), he didn’t roll over and give up.
I would love the next Sporting Deeks moment that is introduced to be Snowboarding Deeks. To see an episode where Deeks and Kensi “Double Black Diamond Rated” Blye go undercover at a ski resort and have to actually hit the slopes would be great!

That was my favorite too. The music was perfect and he was so joyful. Such a contrast to what happens next!

I chose Personal because he’s so sexy when he runs and because the episode cemented my allegiance to the character of Deeks and to this show.
