  1. This was beautifully written, I felt Deeks’ pain and uncertainty in every word. Great job!

  2. That was beautifully written. It made me almost tear up kinda like when I watched that last scene in the show.

    • Almost? (I’ll have to try better next time!) No really, this one ep seriously ripped out all of our hearts and stomped on them. This could have easily been a holiday/sweeps/finale ep!

  3. Is it just me or is this relationship about to make a turn for the best or …………………..

    • I’m still holding my breath about this, as I always presume the worst. (It is TV and they do like to toy with us.) They are going to have to come back to this, about the danger they face and how they prioritize each other and the presumed future family. Kensi again put herself in a fatal position and now this week faced the cause of her physical trauma – something else that almost took her away from Deeks. These instances are adding up, so what will be the thing that forces a change by one or both of them and what does that mean for them?

  4. That was a great entry that captured very well what Deeks must have been through all day and the whirlwind of emotions he must have felt. Very sad that Deeks thinks Kensi would choose the job over him (or a family together), I hope one day she will prove him wrong becoming the best version of wife-Kensi and mother-Kensi.

    • I’ve seen plenty of comments elsewhere online about people disagreeing – that Kensi isn’t “choosing” the job over Deeks, that it’s “just the job”. Not trying to fan a flame or argue here, as I’m not sure if/who is right vs wrong. It simply remains to be seen? We haven’t seen Kensi in those other roles, but we know exactly what to expect from her as an agent.

  5. I feel for Deeks & his feelings are understandable, but expecting her to choose between duty and him is unfair. Just like it would be unfair if Kensi expected the same. As long as she is an agent and he is a cop they are duty bound to complete the mission or case by any means within the law and NCIS & LAPD protocol. The citizens of LA & the U.S. and sometimes the world depends on a mission’s success. The thing they need to ask themselves is. Is the short-term relief of choosing them over a job worth the long term consequences such as national security being compromised, a teammate getting hurt/killed, or an avoidable war being started?

    • Ryan – Ah, as I referenced in the comment above, I realize a lot of people seem this differently. I’m honestly not sure who is right vs wrong, or if there is even a right vs wrong here. You pose great questions. I’ll add to them. Will either/both of them start to shift priorities as they become more of a formal family (presumed wedding & kids). It’s a great question to ask Sam (although not for a very long time at this point). Would they feel one of them has to change roles to prioritize a child, or do they feel they are protecting that child by protecting the country (even if it ultimately sacrifices one of them)? This seems to be an issue they and we will all be struggling with for the extended future.
